TeamViewer, troubleshoot to our client never been so easy

image Wow … it has been so long since my last post :) well, I have been very busy since few weeks back, me and wife are currently in progress of developing a new product to be sold in Internet, so wish me luck :) Okay for this post I would like to share my experience on supporting my very long distance client with a very free to used software, TeamViever.

So what is this TeamViewer all about, here is what this product official said about their product:

TeamViewer establishes connections to any PC or server all around the world within just a few seconds. You can remote control your partner’s PC as if you were sitting right in front of it

image It’s very easy, just download this TeamViewer file from its website both on our workstation and on other terminal workstation that we would like to remote. We can have option either to install it or directly run the program without installation. TeamViewer then will provide us with number and password, enter number of workstation we would like to remote, choose type of remote session and click on “connect to partner”, TeamViewer will ask for password, enter the password correctly and we are free to go.

I find Techinline (http://www.techinline.com) to be much simpler for this sort of thing. First of all, it doesn’t even require any download or installation on either end (it is entirely browser based). Second, I like their branding options which allow you to embed the Client link directly into your site.

Just to let you know that you may like to check out Mikogo desktop sharing. It’s free for both commercial and private use, and allows you to share screen content in real time over the Web. It includes remote keyboard/mouse control for remote support, plus allows you to share your screen with up to 10 people for web conferencing. Drop by the website and let me know if you have any questions.
