Jakarta’s bomb threat continues

jakartabomb-1 On August 5, 2003 Indonesia was grieved for 60 victims who killed on Jakarta’s JW Marriot bomb threat. Now after 6 years, again terrorist re-bombed same hotel. 2 blasts were occurred on Friday, July 17,2009 8AM. Too many speculation on who should be responsible for this threat. Issue like radical muslim activity, national coupe to chaos after Indonesia’s election were speculated to be main reason for this attack.

Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, president of Indonesia state that he and all component of Indonesia should condemned this threat and he sworn that he and Indonesia will do best effort can be done to investigate and find the responsible one.

Meanwhile, fear and nervous are spread as news about bomb threat broadcast by mass media. Security check have been tightening after bomb threat at all places. Some company who concern about their employee security decided to close early today and issue travel warn from and to Indonesia. Latest investigation found that bomb was assembled on room 1808 of Ritz Charlton hotel. “Its looks like subject bring bomb component piece by piece to avoid security check then assembled here and set to be exploded within hotel” said Nanan Sukarna, Head of Jakarta’s Police Office – Public Relation Dept.

This bomb threat has make Indonesia’s plan as host of 2020 World Cup to be just a dream. Manchester United visit to Indonesia for friendly match again Indonesia’s all star also cancelled.

Threat has attack many aspect of Indonesia’s life and hopefully that won’t impact to deep as Indonesia still struggle from world economy downtrend.
