One of trending topic on Twitter today is Google Chrome OS. Google Chrome OS is a new project launched by Google as a natural extension of Google Chrome browser. Google claim on their website that heir future operating system as an open source, lightweight operating system that will initially be targeted at netbooks with key aspects on speed, simplicity and security. It will run on both x86 and ARM chips on top of Linux kernel.

This release obviously overlap other Google operating system, Android. Even though Android targeted more on mobile phone, but releasing new operating system with different brand may would overwhelm Google, in the term of research, development and marketing, well that just my opinion, I hope Google have prepare more ammo on their resource to complete both, so Android neither Chrome won’t be left behind.

In other hand, Google participation on desktop operating system will add more alternative to computer users. As we know on many Google product, also on Chrome browser, as I big fan of this browser, Google offer simple layout with effective and efficient functionalities plus a lightweight system that will coddle its users.

We hear a lot from our users and their message is clear — computers need to get better. People want to get to their email instantly, without wasting time waiting for their computers to boot and browsers to start up. They want their computers to always run as fast as when they first bought them. They want their data to be accessible to them wherever they are and not have to worry about losing their computer or forgetting to back up files. Even more importantly, they don’t want to spend hours configuring their computers to work with every new piece of hardware, or have to worry about constant software updates. And any time our users have a better computing experience, Google benefits as well by having happier users who are more likely to spend time on the Internet.

From above cite, it seems that Google will give its operation system integration with things that Google known can do best, internet utilization, and what they mean with to get email instantly without having wasting time for computer to boots? a new shortcut to access email client I believe. Well to much to be said as it still on project introduction phase, so Google, we are looking forward for your update on Google Chrome
